RCC volunteer figures as of 8 October 2020

The 15th October, Management announced to us that 324 volunteers had applied to the RCC plans as of October 8, 2020.
In total 249 applications were accepted:
——-– 22 – are under review and should receive an answer within the 15 day delay mentioned in the plan
——-– 28 – are on the waiting list
——-– 25 – were refused or canceled, either by Management or by the volunteer.
———— o 14 of these cases were presented to the Review Commission (commission de suivi)

What is the role of the Review Commission? (commission de suivi)

The RCC is an voluntary agreement negotiated between the Amadeus Management and the Unions.

A successful application requires an agreement from both the Volunteer and Management.

The Mobility group (cellule de mobilité), comprised of participants from Management and LHH (an external consultant company) is responsible to validate the viability of an applicant’s RCC Professional Project. This group reviews and provides a recommendation for each project.

In the event of a negative recommendation, the applicant can request a review with the Review Commission (commission de suivi) from their P&C Business Partner.

The commission’s role is every 15 days (calendar below), to study refusal cases and contested departure dates. The members are comprised of two elected officials of each of the three Union group signing the agreement as well as management.

Our role in this commission is to support and defend all cases referred to us.

The final decision is made by Management by email to the applicant and the members of the Review Commission.

What Happens in the Review Commission meetings ?

These meetings are organized by management with a pre-defined objective.

For the meeting held 1st October, the objective was to communicate on the initial enrolment figures as well as defining the working guidelines of the commission. (see our first newsletter).

For the meeting of 15th October, the objective was to evaluate the professional projects rejected for reason of ‘volunteer competence’.
During this meeting we understood that with the departure of the majority of the consultants being developers and with recent developer resignations, the role – Software development, the management is committed to protecting their development base and restricting some software developers to leave with the Project Professional.    
With this information we emphasized the need to revalue the Software developer role, both in terms of recognition and content.
